🔥 Introduction:  Are we using the power inside us to heal ourselves and others?  For me, this has been a long journey with Jesus, who is actively building my faith, day by day.  I have seen the power of God to heal others miraculously, both in the moment, and over time, to do what He shows me in the moment, when seeking for others.  We release healing in whatever way He shows us, and leave the rest to Him, with no concern about the “result” of what WE have done.  It is not about us, but directly related to faith in the One we partner with. We are simply obedient. Releasing healing, by the power of Jesus, is the most beautiful partnership with God.  It comes out of relationship with, and complete trust of, the Faith Builder.  (Hebrews 12:2)

🔥Part 1:  ~~A Testimony of Healing, my miracle:  A Recent Accident on the evening of 6.26.19.

Two nights ago, I had an accident. I fell on hard pavement. It happened in a silly way, my picking up my dog’s leash with the dog attached, not prepared for the burst of joy from this pup, which quickly jerked me off balance. It all happened so fast, yet I can still see it in slow motion two days later.  My instinct in the moment was to try to use the weight of the dog to keep myself from falling, rather than letting go of the leash.  I went down very hard on the pavement, affecting the entire right side of my body from head to toe:  Head, hip, thigh, knee, ankle, wrist, back, buttocks and everything in between!  In addition to the hard fall, jarring each of these areas, I had what we call “road rash”, scrapes on my ankle, wrist and elbow. This event happened later in the evening, and left me in so much pain, I wondered how I would be able to find any position that was comfortable enough to sleep.  After treating the surface wounds and placing myself in bed, I felt the Lord’s Presence on my leg, the gentle vibrations, and asked the Lord to help me go to sleep.  Our kind and gracious God, did so, and got me through the night. His tender touch, holding me through a night of pain, was the epitome of His loving nature.

🔥~~I was unable to walk!~~ 

The next morning, yesterday, as I attempted to get out of bed, I discovered that I was unable to place any weight at all on my right leg, and I had essentially no range of motion.  I spent the day in bed, trying to decide where next to place the ice pack, and drawing strength from Jesus. Spending time with the Lord was the most important part of what was about to take place!  Many things went through my mind, and I began to check with Jesus on each one.  “Lord, not being able to place weight on a leg sometimes points to a break. Are there any broken bones; Hip, leg, knee, ankle?”  Immediately I was assured that there were no broken bones.  I heard a clear “No”. I believed Him and was thankful.  I felt His Presence all over my right side, which was a miracle in itself, His having taught me over the past several years, what His Presence feels like, the beautiful, gentle vibrations. He knows exactly what is going on in our bodies, which is very life giving in these moments.  I trust Jesus, both what He says, and His miraculous power to heal, restore, transform, and change ANY circumstance.  He had prepared me well for this!  💕 Thank You, Jesus! 💕

🔥~~Seeking Him!  Talking to my Divine Partner

I continued to question Him:  “So Jesus, why then am I in so much pain?  Why am I unable to place any weight on this leg? Why is it not functioning at all?”  First, He showed me that there were several muscular tears.  This made sense, and gave me great hope, because I have experienced these small muscle tears in the past, which heal over time.  I also recalled that other times I had experienced this, it took a very long time to heal completely.  Next, He had me look at my leg.  I noticed that my knee seemed out of alignment, a bit off center between ankle and hip.  It looked like it had moved to the left, along with some swelling. So I was led to do what I do with others whose hips are out of alignment, when one leg is longer than the other.  I spoke to the knee, and asked it to come into proper alignment, as God designed, in Jesus’ name.  I heard and felt cracking, like bones moving inside.  It felt so strange in the moment, almost like bones breaking, though I know now that He was tweaking things, our most perfect Chiropractor. Though I saw no visible sign of things having moved on the outside, I was led to get up and test it. I was in total AWE as I was able to get up, place weight on that leg, without pain. 

🔥~~Just Like That!  I Was Able to WALK!~~

BAM!  It was done.  I had just pondered how many days or weeks it would be before I was able to care for myself again, and this morning, 24 hours later, I am able to walk up and down the stairs, having prepared my own breakfast.  Hallelujah!  Our miraculous God, my Partner in all things, faithfully displayed His power, just as He does when I work with others.  Healing manifested in my body, as I worked with Him step by step,  to use the power He has placed inside me, to bring healing.  He showed me that this process I went through with Him can be used as a practical guide, written down for others.   Thanks be to God!  

Let’s give our gracious God all Honor, Glory and Praise for His power to heal!  Will you celebrate His power with me today?  God is SO good.  Believe it and receive it.  His POWER is REAL! 

✨ In the next post, Part 2, I will share some things I learned through this healing, which may speak to some who read it, and help bring greater confidence in the days ahead, as we pray for healing all over the world.  These are exciting days for all who believe in the manifest power of God on earth, as in Heaven.

Renewing Our Minds ~ What do we believe? ~ Romans 12

Becoming KINGDOM MINDED is a Divine SHIFT which transforms us and others! 

Those called, and passionate about healing in the Body of Christ, come from vastly different faith backgrounds. Many of us have grown up in a “belief system”, often times due to the beliefs of our parents, or by invitation into a Church community. Where we are born, our culture and/or nationality also has an influence on faith. The path to our receiving Jesus is a UNIQUE path, what we believe deep within our soul, being shaped by these daily influences around us.

On our personal journey with Jesus, we are led to place ourselves in HIS HANDS in total surrender, as the Author and Finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Following Him means that we look to Him to transform us, to bring us into truth, becoming more like HIM. God’s Word urges us to renew our minds. (Romans 12:1-2) This is the road to transformation. 

JESUS is TRUTH, so when we surrender to Him, placing ourselves in His hands to shape our faith, He gently transforms our minds, ridding us of what we have believed that is “false”, replacing it with truth. Our minds and hearts become one with Him. (1 Corinthians 2:16) He may direct us to a specific teaching, lead us to a particular book to read, or into deeper conversations with mentors. He directs us to scriptures, showing us how to interpret through a crystal clear spiritual lens of history and context. It’s a beautiful process as we follow Him step by step. He SHOWS us the truth by strengthening our personal discernment, so that lies jump out at us, exposed like never before.

We have been given the mind of Christ. Our minds are being renewed, shifting our beliefs into all truth, as New Covenant believers. What we believe about God, what Jesus accomplished already on our behalf, His goodness, and the power of the Holy Spirit living inside us, changes everything! 

💗~Below are questions and my responses to them, as an example of my present “mindset”, with regard to this accident I had two nights ago. Some of you may answer these questions differently right now. If so, that’s OK, and you are loved! You and I are on unique paths and they are both blessed by God! Please simply seek the Lord to go deeper, without fear, for personal revelation. He is faithful to provide it! 💗

👑~ Mindset Questions and Answers ~👑

❓Question: Do I believe that God created this accident, that He intended for me to be hurt?

~Answer: NO! Never!

❓Question: Do I believe that Jesus was weeping with me, as I wept in pain? 

~Answer: YES, for sure! 

❓Question: Do I believe that I had done something wrong, that God was punishing me, to teach me a lesson? 

~Answer: NO! Absolutely NOT! 

❓Question: Do I believe that I was attacked by the enemy? 

~Answer: NO! Never! The enemy has no place around me or has any influence over my life. My life is influenced by the power and glory of the King of Kings, who is alive and at work in me.

❓Question: Do I believe that crazy things happen in life, (challenging times/painful trials/tribulation) and that God USES these times to turn them for good, for His Glory, preparing a powerful testimony to build our faith, and the faith of others? 

~ Answer: YES! This is what I believe! I have witnessed it over and over again. 

❓~Question: Do I believe that WE place ourselves in bondage, enter into darkness and fear (some of you may name this place often or occasionally), due to the lies we believe about ourselves, our identity, about others, sin, the Church, the nature of God and so much more? 

~Answer: YES! Absolutely! I have been there, done that, and am NEVER going back. 

❓~Question: Do I believe in the truth of renewing our minds, thinking and functioning FROM the KINGDOM of God, by partnering with King Jesus?

~Answer: Yes! Yes! A Thousand Times Yes! THIS is true FREEDOM!

💕 Personal Testimonies of God’s Provision 💕

The Lord showed me a new series I am to write, sharing my personal testimonies of His provision over my lifetime to date.  I have spent some time with Jesus today, like a walk down “memory lane”, remembering all the places where I was in need of God’s help over the years. The Lord has NEVER let me down, whether in good times or in bad.  We have a FAITHFUL GOD who takes us on a journey of learning to trust the love and power of God to help us overcome, just as Jesus did.

To be sure, God’s provision is so much more than financial provision, though we may think “financial or material” when we see the word “provision”.  The truth is that God provides in many more ways: providing knowledge, protection, direction, encouragement, healing, and all types of restoration. While this series will cover how God provides for our material needs, I will share how God provides other types of “needs” we have as well.

In the next few weeks, my blog posts will be some of my personal testimonies.  I am excited to begin writing them and pray that parts of my story will uplift those of you who are in need of encouragement.  Our God is indeed with you, to meet you at the center of the difficult circumstance you find yourself in, ready to pull you through it by His power.

A Vision and Testimony: 🦋
God’s Grace to Protect and Provide

A few years ago, things were SO challenging financially that I feared we would be homeless.  Many things happened during this time to challenge my faith, however, today I am led to share one experience, a miracle, which reminded me of God’s power to intervene in our lives.

During this time our bathroom skylight began to leak.  We live in a city where it rains often, fairly consistently during the winter months.  Having no money to get this repaired or replaced, we placed pots under the dripping water from the ceiling, hoping to keep it contained.  It was a mess, getting progressively worse, and went on for quite some time.  During the night, the sound of water coming into these pots seemed amplified! This sound, as I laid in my bed at night, brought fear. The ceiling began to weaken where the water was coming in, drywall coming down as well.  I cried out to the Lord for help, not knowing what could be done, without any resources to do this repair.  

The Lord responded, by giving me a vivid vision of a large piece of plate glass, sliding in place on our roof, directly over our leaking skylight.  I was in AWE!  God was showing me that there was no reason to fear. The Lord had this! 💝

Can you imagine what happened next? It was amazing!  From that point on, the water stopped! There was no longer any need for pots.  Every time it rained, what the Lord had done was confirmed again and again.  NO WATER was coming in. There was no other explanation as to how this could have happened, other than by the power of our miraculous God.  God MADE a way, where there seemed to be no way!  

Today, years later, the evidence of the leaky skylight is still visible, as we have not yet repaired the water damage to our bathroom ceiling.  Now, I know, with all certainty, that our ceiling will, in God’s perfect timing, be totally restored. Perhaps even the skylight will be replaced.  God has turned our circumstances around in miraculous ways.  This was one event, in a series of events, which has greatly strengthened my faith.  I pray that it gives you encouragement today, if you are in the midst of a challenging circumstance.  

Believe and trust our faithful God to bring restoration to the broken places in life.  Surrender these places to God, placing Jesus at the center of each one.  Miracles happen every day!

God is FAITHFUL!  JESUS is ALIVE!  The King of Kings is Lord of all!  👑

Have you ever been in a stressful place, truly wondering where your next meal will come from?  

I was in this place as a young woman in graduate school, trying to make it on my own, with the help of music scholarships, working two jobs, attending classes and practicing the organ 4 hours a day.  I shared a small, run down rental house, owned by the university, with another student. There came a day when we looked at each other and gasped, as we realized that there was only one can of soup left in our cupboard, that we could share.  Neither of us had any money to buy groceries.  

Just as we were fretting over our situation, trying to come up with ideas as to what to do, there came a knock on the door, perfectly timed.  I went to answer it, and was surprised to see a lady I knew from a Church I had served as organist a while back.  She handed me a check, as she explained that the Church had made a mistake. They had neglected to apply an increase in salary I had received several months before I left, so this check was the back pay, around $300.  I remember welling up with tears as I thanked the “messenger/deliverer” profusely, letting her know that this could not have come at a better time! 

Both my roommate and I saw this as a miracle from God.  In only minutes, we went from having only one can of soup between us, to having enough resources to cover our groceries for the month.  God provided in abundance! We were in AWE!   🔥

Though this happened many years ago, I remember vividly, God’s faithfulness in that moment.  It touched our hearts! God’s Presence with us was tangible, so very REAL.  He will NEVER let us down.  God is FAITHFUL to see our need and make a way!  Glory to GOD, our gracious Jehovah Jireh (Jehovah will provide) ! 💕

I am always excited when the Lord gives me a “series”, because it is a new surprise each day as I am shown the next post. Whereas yesterday’s testimony was about the one can of soup which occurred MANY years ago, today’s post is about something which literally happened, just yesterday! 

We have lived in this present house now, for just over 18 years.  For many of these years I would spend several days of my vacation time trying to organize it in a way that would make it more functional. Though I asked for help from my family, they were all busy doing their own thing, so I found myself spending several days alone with the family’s “junk”. Needless to say, this was not the way I loved spending my precious vacation days. I admit that I often grumbled to the Lord while doing it. 

As my boys grew up and moved out of the house, their “stuff” began to diminish. They essentially gave me permission to do what I think best with it (YAY!), so over the past few years I have had a new hope, that our garage, may indeed, at some point, be used solely for its intended purpose, a place to park our cars. Last summer I was able to get containers for the things my sons may want someday, so that the containers are well marked and stacked. We began to take furniture we were no longer using, and either sell it or give it to others who need it. By the end of last summer, our garage was looking better than ever before and it felt great. We had room to store the outdoor chairs over the winter months and actually find things when needed. Then came fall, winter and now it is once again springtime. 

Over the weekend, Ben and I stood in the garage and were looking over the situation again, since it is again time to “clean the garage”! How can it look so disorganized, messy ALL OVER AGAIN, after SO much reorganization last summer? We can no longer place blame on our two boys. THEY ARE NO LONGER HERE! Hmmm…..it really makes no sense to me at all. The difference is, that now, I am able to laugh at it, my time is my own, so vacation days is not an issue, and I see the LORD as my Partner in it all. What seemed overwhelming in that past, has become a “reasonable” task, where I can take joy in giving things away. That’s the back story, OK?

Here’s the very recent testimony which I can share with you today.  While we were looking over the garage, I noticed a chair that had belonged to my Dad, who entered paradise 10 years ago. We offered so many pieces of furniture to others, but somehow that piece was still in my garage. All the others had either been sold or given away. Dad’s chair was special to me and for a time, my son was interested in taking it, but he never did.  So last summer, I put it on the offer up website, and had not had any inquiries at all about this chair. In fact, I had not been to that website for several months, and had forgotten about it, until now.

After this conversation in the garage about this chair, only a couple of hours passed until I received an email with a message from the offer up site. Someone was inquiring about MY DAD’S CHAIR! After an exchange with this person, whom I instantly knew had been led by God, I offered him both the chair and a microwave that I was about to advertise, at no charge. He was delighted, and came to pick up both items yesterday, less than 24 hours later. God heard me, my desire that someone would be able to use this chair, and MADE IT HAPPEN, without my having to lift a finger.  

This year, God jump started our garage clean-up and made us smile, because we see just how present the Lord is with us, to lead us forward through our messes into order.  He cares about what we care about and is our Helpmate! He even cares about the small details of our lives, like what we do with our belongings, whether they be precious to us, as was my Dad’s chair, or whether it’s just junk. 

Are there things in life that just “bug” you? Our God is an awesome God, who is at the center of every challenge we face in life.  He removes frustration and sets the JOY before us, so we LAUGH as we experience His power to quickly make things happen. 

Jesus is making all things NEW, and can move mountains on our behalf in the blink of an eye! Recognize His hand, acknowledge it, and give Him all thanks and praise today. If He did it for me, He will do it for you!

Though I have a long list of posts to write of God’s faithfulness throughout my lifetime, God is giving me fresh experiences which are blowing me away as I go to write.  With each day, I am more excited about this series.  God is truly up to something good, and is “blowing my socks off”!

As I came here to discern what the Lord was leading me to write about today, an unexpected blessing brought happy tears. I received a message from someone very dear to me who disappeared from my life well over a year ago without explanation.  She is a very dear friend, who is eager, as I am, to “catch up”.  What a huge surprise in this day!  

This is but one example of how much restoration I see the Lord doing in relationships right now.  I see the Lord re-connecting several members of my family, and bringing those who have been “estranged” back together, in the midst of challenging circumstances. My former Mother-in-law, who turned 100 years old last October, is, as of today, in the hospital.  This is a blessing, for she is in need of a different level of care. God is at work on her behalf, a desire of my heart for quite some time now. Neighbors who have never been “friendly”, whom have appeared disgruntled, are suddenly opening up and talking. I was just outside and in awe all over again, in the midst of writing this.  There is confirmation after confirmation, all around me, of this testimony today!

Is there someone who you are estranged from, who is precious to you today?  Perhaps you have no idea why they rejected you suddenly, or simply left, without explanation.  First of all, make sure to seek Jesus to help you forgive them in your heart.  Bless them, place them in the hands of Jesus, and just WATCH what the power of God can do today, to bring restoration. 

Our God is an awesome God, and He gave us Jesus, everything we need, to live life and live it abundantly!  Thank You Jesus!

📖~~John 10:10   (The words of Jesus) “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

💕(Please do not misinterpret this scripture below, from John 5.  Jesus is not our “accuser”.  He is our “Advocate”.  In this passage, Jesus is sharing what He is observing about where we tend to place our trust. He is Teacher and very much alive. I am led to include it as helpful teaching. Walking in our Kingdom calling, means we are in deep relationship with our best friend, the Source of all power, whose name is JESUS, our precious gift from God. This intimate walk with Him is what brings restoration, healing, faith, abundance, peace, hope and joy.  All we need do is to accept this gift.) 

📖~~John 5:39-44 (The words of Jesus) “You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me, yet you refuse to come to Me to have life. I do not accept glory from men, but I know you, that you do not have the love of God within you. I have come in My Father’s name, and you have not received Me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe if you accept glory from one another, yet do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?”

Waiting for our True Treasure: 🌷 A Testimony of the JOY He sets before us as we fol

A large department store is closing near us, liquidizing all items, though they still have stores other places in our area.  During this big “sale”, we have seen large discounts on things I would not normally purchase.  I have been wearing the same watch for 20 years, so when I saw this watch (in the graphic), it reminded me immediately of Jesus, the Rose of Sharon.  It was unique, in that it looks like a bracelet, yet it flips open to expose a beautiful watch piece inside with a face of Mother of Pearl.  It was now at a price I could afford, and felt the Lord’s leading to buy it, so I did so last week.  When I tried it on in the store, the band was way too big, so the salesperson said that if I would take it to another store, they would be able to make the adjustment, removing the links in the band.

Yesterday, I headed downtown to one of their main stores and as I found the person who does this at the jewelry counter, she showed me that I could have done this myself.  It had two clasps, actually adding more length for those who need it.  We laughed, because it seemed obvious that there was  another purpose meant for me in that store.  Immediately she said, “I know why you were meant to come to see me.  I have the ring that goes perfectly with this watch!  You MUST try it on.” As she led me down to the other end of the counter and pulled out this ring, I was laughing, because, of course, I would never buy a ring for myself, though they are always fun to try on. 

How can I describe the brilliance of this ring?  This photo does not do it justice.  It was simply sparkling with brilliance on my finger.  

I looked at the price tag which said “$20,000” and I said jokingly, “Oh, it is only 20K?”  And she immediately said, “Oh, but you must know that it is on SALE today. You would be able to purchase this for ONLY $7,000.  It is just perfect with your new watch!” We began to chat a bit about how long she had worked at the mall.  She knew a very dear friend of mine, the manager of the mall, who left us several years ago due to a tragic motorcycle accident.  It was a gift to speak with someone who had known my friend. As I went to leave she said, “Now, when you have a DREAM about this ring, you come back and see me!” She told me that her name was “Lily”.  We laughed and I went on my way. 

The Lord knows that I am not one who enjoys shopping. So He guides me into stores at certain times, by showing me that there is a Kingdom purpose for my being there!  I browsed a little, since I had driven out of my way to be there, until I got His purpose.  I knew that I was being led to go back to speak with Lily again.  Of course, when I showed up at her counter, she was delighted and said “Wow, that dream came quickly!”  I told her that I felt led to take a photo of the ring.  (I had no idea why when I said that though.)  So she helped me take some pictures, one which I used for this graphic.  

She began to tell me that she had lost her husband two years ago to cancer.  There it was!  My purpose!  I was able to listen to some of her story.  She overcame a lot by the help of God and I was able to speak words of encouragement to her.  She said that it was such a blessing to meet me and took my card.  I met a new friend named Lilly.  God had connected us.

The Lord gave me the rest of this word in the hours since I left Lilly.  I have had this song in my head for two days, “Even So Come”  (Like a Bride, Waiting for her Groom, We’ll be a Church Waiting for You) 

For me, this ring reminds me of the amazing BRILLIANCE of our Lord Jesus.  There is NO treasure on earth that could ever compare to Him.  We receive the gifts God gives us with joy, appreciating the beauty in the material things in this world, yet our TRUE treasure is our relationship with JESUS.  He is like the most brilliant jewel, the dazzling bright light of God’s KINGDOM.  He came so that we would experience FULLNESS of JOY and LIFE ABUNDANT. (John 10:10)

How are we waiting for Him, Church?  Are we seeing the JOY He sets before us in each day, to propel us forward?  How are we doing in the unconditional love department?  (John 13:34)  How are we using our words to bless each other? 

God is calling us to UNITY, putting aside our differences and simply loving ALL unconditionally.  It’s time Church.  Are you ready?  Are you as expectant as a new Bride, waiting for her Groom?  He IS making all things new!  (Rev. 21:5)

Do we really KNOW? Or do we just “think” we know? 

~~A Mindset Testimony ~~  👑   9  Truths

Do we realize the magnitude of what JESUS has done for each one of us? As a testimony to God’s great goodness and faithfulness, I will share nine statements of truth I hold close at all times. I am thankful that these have sunk deeply into my soul and have helped me stay in a place of peace in times of trial. The Lord has blessed me with increased strength on the path toward a renewed mind. 

As we are called to be ambassadors for Christ, a renewed mind is vital for those in the Body of Christ, in order to walk in God's power with confidence. There are many scriptures to support each one, so I will include a few and you are welcome to have fun as Jesus helps you find more. Check these statements and see if you agree with some of them or all of them. How TRUE are they for YOU today? Ask God to increase wisdom and understanding, in any area which you find challenging. 

🦋~~We did not EARN or do anything to DESERVE our salvation, or our favor/good standing with God. There is nothing we need do to “measure up” in the eyes of God. Jesus’ work on the cross was a FINISHED work. (Romans 5:17-18, Ephesians 2:8-9)

🦋~~It was a most precious gift. All we need do is to receive it. (Ephesians 2:4-9)

🦋~~Jesus became sin, paid the price for us, conquered death forever, so that we would become the righteousness of God….for all time, eternity! (2 Corinthians 5: 17-21, Romans 3:22)

🦋~~Thoughts of the enemy do not occupy our minds any longer. Who cares about the defeated one? ALL our thoughts and attention are always on JESUS, who deserves our FULL attention. (Colossians 2:9-15, Hebrews 2:14-15, Galatians 1:4)

🦋~~Just as Jesus has, we have been given full access to the Kingdom of God. We are seated with Christ. We bring Heaven wherever we go. (Ephesians 2:6, Matthew 3:16, Ephesians 2:18, Hebrews 10:18-22)

🦋~~We have put on Christ, HIS garments, and His Spirit leads us and guides us daily. (Galatians 3:26-28, Ephesians 4:22-24)

🦋~~We have now taken on His attributes, because His Spirit lives in us. We are light, love, joy, peace, hope, confidence and comfort to others. (1 Corinthians 13: 4-6, 1 John 4:7-8, Galatians 5:22)

🦋~~If we “feel” God is far away, we KNOW with confidence, this is not truth. If we are LOST, Jesus goes after us until He finds us. Our “feelings” are not always accurate. God uses our feelings to strengthen us, increasing our strength, as our mind is transformed. God’s truth is that God is right next to us at all times, that He will NEVER leave us. (Romans 12:1-4, Luke 15:3-7)

Friends around the world, we are BLESSED! Do we truly KNOW? Or do we just “think” we know?

A Testimony of Overcoming by the Power of LOVE :  💝
 

⚠️~ From HABIT to ADDICTION ~🚫
 

The Lord brought a sweet testimony to me early this morning, a story I had not thought about in years. He reminded me of a time many years ago, when my Son, now 31 years of age, was only 6 years old. He had a habit, from an infant, of sucking his thumb, and it was a habit very difficult to break, though our family could see that he clearly wanted this to stop. After all, he was a BIG boy now! 🙋‍♂️
 

My Son had a very close relationship with my Dad. He and his Grandpa were close pals. 💕 It warmed my heart to see the genuine love and affection they had for each other. My Father had an addiction to nicotine, having smoked his entire life.
 

My Dad was 80 years old when a phone conversation occurred, between my Dad and my Son, which I happened to overhear. My little 6 year old had been taught that smoking was harmful to the body, and so he asked Grandpa why he simply would not stop smoking. “Why do you smoke Grandpa, when it is hurtful to you?” They began to discuss their “habits” with each other, until they came to an interesting place I would never have expected. Together, they made a pact that day, a promise to each other, that they would quit their habits together, on the spot. 🤭😮
 

Grandpa made a vow to his grandson that day, to quit smoking, if my Son would stop sucking his thumb.
 

The moment I heard this exchange between them, I must confess that I had my doubts. It sounded good, but would anything change? I doubted this could happen suddenly. I had seen so many try to quit smoking, using the many methods available, and my Dad had smoked, pretty much all his life. SO many of us encouraged him to stop smoking over many years. I also knew what a habit this thumb sucking was to break for my Son. Was it possible that they could simply agree, and it would be finished?  This would be truly miraculous. 😂
 

And it WAS!  🎉 My friends….they both kept their promise!  From that conversation onward, my Father at 80 years old, who had smoked all his life, gave up this habit, this addiction, for the sake of my Son. AND my Son, stopped sucking his thumb for the sake and health of my Dad. The chains were broken, each set free! 🎉
 

I see now after all these years, that THIS was truly the POWER OF God's LOVE at work. God helped each of them keep their promise, out of their love and care for each other!  This pure love was more powerful than their habit. God transformed them both in an instant. It was a testimony of unconditional LOVE, flowing from God to them out of their amazing love for each other. 💕🎁
 

With the pure love of the Father over us, and the truth of Jesus who gives us NEW LIFE, we can overcome anything. (See Song of Solomon 8:6) Thanks be to God!
 

If you are feeling discouraged today, by a habit or addiction in your life, please know that with GOD NOTHING is impossible and in fact, ALL things are POSSIBLE. His love will help you overcome anything in your life which needs healing.
 

Seek Him today. Do not run in shame, hiding from what you feel is not right in your life. Surrender to His precious love, and just CHANGE it, by God’s help. He is faithful to partner with you. I have witnessed God’s transforming power over and over again, for our God is faithful.
 

The POWER OF LOVE is REAL! His name is JESUS! 🤣
